  • Values, beliefs and dreams

  • Goals are related to a person's values, beliefs and dreams. For young people to see a need to set goals, it is important to find out their current beliefs and values as well as their future hopes and plans.

  • Your beliefs and values will determine your morals and what kind of behavior you think is acceptable.

  • Think about the following situations:

  • 1. You are at a party and all your friends are drinking alcohol? Would you also drink? Why / Why not?

  • 2. Your friend is cheating in tests and offers you her crib notes as well. Do you take them? Why / Why not?
